Interventions include infrastructure upgrades such as drinking water and hand wash stations and sanitation (separate urinals and toilets for boys and girls respectively; as per UNICEF guidelines), setting up of libraries, computer labs, activity-based learning, science and math kits for interactive and joyful learning.
SRDF helps facilitate the application of ISO Accreditation and works with principals and school management committees to upgrade all aspects of the school to meet international standards.
Integration of Resources & Technology
SRDF has supported several schools in imparting teaching through electronic mode and by injecting educational resources and tools into classrooms to help children learn more, faster.
We ensure that each school has adequate sanitation facilities, including boys’ and girls’ toilets and proper hand washing facilities. SRDF also educates children on the need for proper sanitation.
SRDF paints educational murals and key messages both inside and outside school walls to not only beautify schools but also to educate children and community at the same time.
We work with School Management Committees to develop a kitchen garden, where possible, to support the midday meal scheme and to teach children responsibility in caring for plants.
We provide two types of scholarships to deserving students who come from unprivileged families. Mass Scholarships are for students to uptake Grade XI and XII whereas Excellence Scholarships are for students who want to pursue professional courses like CA, CS, Engineering and Medical. In addition to that we provide career counselling to prepare students and parents for future opportunities.
